Finding movies on this topic were not hard, but looking for the best example was. But finally coming up with a list, here are some of the movies.
(This is just a list where the movie names and how they are related to depression are mentioned)
Combining the information from my research upon depression and this page (Movie inspirations), I have finalised over how my Opening Sequence should be done.
From what i have decided, my movie will mostly take inspirations from the movies Helen and Its kind of a funny story.
The common characteristics in characters in these kinds of movies are:
The main character/ the protagonist is mostly shown as an unstable being trying to deal with their emotion, they go through a journey, either resulting in a good outcome or a bad one. They go through situations with their emotions at peak (they are vulnerable, especially in movies based on depression). In other words, they exactly show the stereotyped characteristics people have about these characters.
In this characters are often portrayed though their personality rather than appearance, they look like normal people.

- Its kind of a funny story: (Personally, I think today people would relate most to this movie.) Depression doesn’t need to come from trauma, abuse, grief, toxic environments or a dysfunctional family. It is both an illness and way of perceiving the world. Even when people have relatively easy lives, they can construct a series of irrational negative beliefs that sink them into depression and suicidal thoughts
